Northfold Ceramics · Studio website

A slower, warmer home for a small pottery studio

The studio's old site buried its classes behind a gallery. We rebuilt the structure around what visitors actually came for, pairing quiet typography with generous photography so the work leads.

Harbour Line Physio · Service pages

Clearer paths from symptoms to the right appointment

Patients arrived unsure which treatment to choose. New service pages explain each option in plain language and point to one simple enquiry route, built to meet accessibility guidelines from the start.

Fieldnote Planning · Product & marketing

One design language across a site and its software

A young planning tool had a marketing site and an app that felt like two companies. A shared component kit now keeps colours, type and patterns in sync, so the team ships new pages without starting from scratch.

Process

Four steps, no surprises.

A simple rhythm that keeps you informed at every stage and makes decisions easy.

  1. Discovery call

We talk through goals, audience and constraints, then agree on a clear, written scope.

  2. Shape & sketch

Structure, content priorities and rough layouts come first, so we get direction right early.

  3. Design & build

Polished designs become working pages, shared as live previews for regular feedback.

  4. Launch & hand-off

We go live together, with a walkthrough and notes so your team feels at home.

About the studio

Small by design, thorough by habit.

I started Opal Beam to work closely with teams who care about the details but don't need an agency's overhead. Every project gets my full attention, from the first conversation to the last line of code.

I enjoy untangling complicated offers into pages people understand quickly, and building them so they stay easy to update long after launch.

Questions

Good to know before we start.

Do you work with clients in other time zones?

Yes. Projects run remotely with a few scheduled calls and clear written updates in between, so overlap of a couple of hours is plenty.

Who writes the content for the site?

You know your business best, so you'll usually supply the raw material. I help structure it, suggest edits for clarity and flag gaps early.

Can you work alongside our existing developers?

Absolutely. I can deliver designs and a component kit for your team to build, or hand over tidy, documented front-end code they can plug in.

What happens after launch?

Every project includes a short support window for fixes and questions. After that, many teams move to a design partner arrangement or book help as needed.
